What is Pig Butchering?

Pig butchering is a type of online fraud that involves scammers building a relationship with their victims to gain their trust and eventually convince them to invest in a fraudulent scheme.  The term "pig butchering" comes from the analogy of fattening a pig before slaughter, as the scammers gradually build trust and manipulate their victims over time. Therefore even if darcy says a message is fine, it DOES NOT MEAN ALL MESSAGES FROM THE SENDER WILL BE FINE. It just means that there is no scam in this specific message, but you should keep sending suspicious messages to ask@darcysecurity.com.
